IS PRIVATE INVESTIGATION LEGAL?
Private investigation in Spain is regulated by Organic Law 23/1992 and is legal providing it is carried out by a private detective or detective agency authorised by the Home Office through the Directorate General of the Police. VERITAS Detectives Privados holds national licence no. 936 and professional affiliation no. 22, issued by the Official School of Private Detectives of the Autonomous Region of Valencia.
I’M NOT SURE A PRIVATE DETECTIVE COULD HELP ME…
Go ahead and discuss your case in the utmost confidence with a detective. You will be treated in a most professional manner as the detective tries to find a solution to your problem. Should the case be outside his/her jurisdiction, you will be referred to other professionals who can deal with it. Detectives today are highly qualified professionals with university qualifications, who carry out a widely recognised social work.
WILL I BE CHARGED A LOT FOR A CONSULTATION?
VERITAS Detectives Privados does not currently charge for a consultation or for giving professional advice.
HOW DO I KNOW THAT THE WORK I COMMISSION WILL BE CARRIED OUT CORRECTLY?
If you do not know of any other trustworthy agency, before you commission a job we recommend you find out about the agency in question (including its licence number) and you can even inquire at the Private Security Units of the Directorate General of the Police. VERITAS Detectives Privados holds national licence no. 936 and professional affiliation no. 22, issued by the Official School of Private Detectives of the Autonomous Region of Valencia.
WILL THE DETECTIVE PROVIDE EVIDENCE FOR ME?
Once an investigation is complete, a report is written with details of the work that has been carried out and the results and evidence obtained, which are generally photographs, DVDs for images, CDs for sound, etc.
CAN THIS EVIDENCE BE USED IN COURT?
The report and evidence provided can be used in any proceedings and must always be confirmed, when required, by the detective who carried out the investigation.
WILL MY PERSONAL DETAILS REMAIN CONFIDENTIAL?
Your personal details and any information you provide in conjunction with the investigation will remain confidential according to the regulations for private investigation work.
HOW MUCH COULD INVESTIGATION WORK COST?
Except for special cases, at VERITAS Detectives Privados we currently charge an hourly rate plus expenses (mileage, food, materials, etc.) and the total cost therefore depends on the number of detectives in charge of the investigation, the hours they work, the means they use, plus their expenses.
